The Job Front

I'm still getting requests to interview with the DODEA. I've turned down a couple (interviews, not offers) because I don't want to be a principal. Sunday I'll interview with Seoul American High School. With our luck, I'll get the job and NK will attack.

I've also applied, have been examined, and have been qualified for two State of Hawaii jobs. One is for an EA position at the school level here locally. I figured that could be good because it's part-time, it's brainless, and it's decent hours and pay. I'll do that if I'm still in school in the Fall.

The second is with the Executive Branch of the State, on Oahu, It's an Administrative Services position, so mid-level bureaucrat. The open position is with the Stadium Authority (Aloha Stadium), though they could assign me anywhere. The pay is great, it's civil service, unionized, and has good benefits. I'd like to at least get an interview out of it.

I'm also working on Plan C which is school. This summer I'll be taking Pharmacology, Human Development, and Speech/communications. I couldn't get out of the speech class even though I've been and English teacher and administrator for 16 years.

I like the Stadium job. It sounds like the job George Costanza had for the Yankees for awhile on Seinfeld. I was in Seoul in 2001, and that would be an experience. You're right that NK might attack, but I think SK can handle 'em in about 5 minutes, especially if we assist. I don't think China will get involved. Go for it.
