Experimenting with Facebook

I've been playing a bit with Facebook. I wasn't interested, at first, in learning a new system...but it snags you and after you connect with people you're stuck. Today I set up a page to share music, art and writing. Here's a link:

Facebook is a bit of a mystery. I lay awake last night trying to understand it. I think there's a clue in realizing that Facebook is made up of two words: Facebo and Ok. I understand the Ok bit, but the Facebo I don't. It's a mystery and I guess that's why Facebook is too.

Anyway, check out the link, I don't know if you have to be a member to view it, but it's easy to sign up and then they'll get you too.

Yes, I think you're on to something. You probably have already considered the contraction of Fac (OED connects it to fece) and eBook. The scat I understand, but eBook?

Anyway, I'm on Facebook because it's the only email Kylie reads (her hotmail is clogged w/ spam). I'm pretty sure, however, that we could be friends.

BTW, the Word Verification for today is "flaci," which I like very much, too.
